Texas Family Bill of Rights Resolution
Dear Friends,
Our mission is to promote, protect and preserve the Texas family. We recognize that there are many attacks on the family taking place at various governmental levels.
We would encourage you to participate in your precinct conventions tomorrow evening, Tuesday March 9, after you vote in the Primary. We would appreciate your assistance to pass a Texas Family Bill of Rights at the precinct level that could then be incorporated into a state party platform
Attached as a
WORD document is a list of resolutions for you to consider to submit as a Texas Family Bill of Rights in your Precinct Convention.
Norm Mason who trains on precinct protocol makes the following recommendations about resolutions:
You may add, delete, or otherwise edit this list as your please. You may submit the entire list for a single vote if you choose. However, by majority vote, those in attendance at the Precinct Convention have the right to consider and dispose of the resolutions in a manner the convention decides. It does not have to consider all the list at once, or pass any at all.You need to have someone to second your motion to adopt the resolutions.
The proper form of the motion is:
"Mr. Chairman (or Madam Chairman), I move the adoption of the following resolutions [read your resolution or submit your list]"
[Second]
[Chair leads the discussion/debate, if any]
[Chair takes the vote]
[Chair announces the results of the vote, and the passage or defeat of the motion]
[Chair proceeds to the next item of business]
REMEMBER: You must have THREE copies of any resolutions that you submit for consideration to give to the convention Secretary. You may want to bring more copies than that, so you will have extra copies to pass out to others so they can read them. It generally moves the process along faster.
We appreciate your help in protecting Texas families.

Respectfully,
Peter Johnston
President
