The Texas Center for Family Rights website is to be used for educational purposes only.
It should not be interpreted as specific legal advice.
At times TCFR is able to make recommendations regarding attorneys in Texas who are able and willing to advocate on behalf of parental rights. TCFR recommends that you consult one of them or another attorney as you plan your legal course of action.

PROBLEMS WITH WEBSITE AND E-MAIL ADDRESS
This e-mail addresses two immediate issues:
        1. our website which has been down for the past day; and
        2. a typographical error in an e-mail address in last week's "Families Come Forth" message that may have caused         problems when you tried to respond.

Website:

If you tried to access our website in the past day you may not have been able to. Please be patient. The problem has been corrected but I am told it will be back up gradually throughout the world within the next 48 hours. I am not sure if they give Texas first or last priority. They originally said 72 hours and one day has passed without it coming up at our office. I trust that they are not working from the other side of the globe first.

E-mail error

In last week's message, "Families Come Forth" I encouraged families who wanted to be supportive in our June 2 hearing in Austin to let us know at TCFR. However, two letters in our e-mail address were transposed. The correct e-mail to contact us regarding that hearing is:

info@txcfr.org

The hearing of Rep. Hupp's Interim Committee on Child Welfare and Foster Care is drawing closer. We continue to encourage your participation. Later I will be sending information regarding a petition that you can sign and continue to encourage you to be at the hearing if possible.

Location: Austin State Capitol
Date: June 2, 2004
Time: 10:00AM
Room: E1.010 (in the underground extension)

I will be sending another e-mail with further details on the hearing and the petition.

I apologize regarding the problems with the website and my typographical error regarding the e-mail.

Respectfully,
Peter JohnstonPresident
