WERNECKE PRESS CONFERENCE
LOCATION CHANGE FOR TOMORROW
Thursday’s press conference will take place at the same time tomorrow, June 30th, at 3:00PM as scheduled. However the location will now be:
HOUSTON MARRIOTT MEDICAL CENTER
6580 FANNIN
HOUSTON, TEXAS 77030

Texas Center for Family Rights is proud to team up with a national foundation that has been advocating on behalf of seriously ill children for over twenty years to promote the medical and legal defense fund set up on behalf of the Wernecke family.

Dr. and Mrs. Wernecke who will be in Houston for surgery scheduled on their daughter at M.D. Anderson will be at the press conference. They have expressed a desire for greater communication directly from the doctors to them. Six tests have been conducted on Katie with little information about results directed to them as parents. They are troubled about further invasive surgery tomorrow without direct consultation.

President of Texas Center for Family Rights Peter Johnston asks:
  • "If CPS has the best interests of Katie at heart have they suggested to doctors to regularly consult with the parents?
  • "Two weeks have gone by since the court hearing. Has CPS done its background check of relatives to place Katie with a relative?
  • "Why didn’t Judge Lewis order the parents to provide medical treatment while allowing Katie to be with them rather than to authorize CPS to be the medical muscle?

Texas Center for Family Rights apologizes for the change in location and looks forward to Thursday’s press conference.

Respectfully,
Peter Johnston , J. D.
President
